A pleasant and relaxing ride by bike between Como and Cernobbio.

Meeting point: Viale Vittorio Veneto in front of the Stadium. Ride along Viale Fratelli Rosselli, at the roundabout turn left into Via Borgovico. At the traffic- lights keep on the right and when you are in Via Venini keep on the left and turn into the nfirst on the left: Via Regina Teodolinda. At the end on the left you can stop and admire the imposing Romanesque Basilica of St. Abbondio with its magnificent Medieval frescoes. After the basilica turn left into Via St. Abbondio, at the traffic-lights turn left into Viale Roosvelt and then into the first on the right: Via Lucini. Go straight on, on your left there are the Medieval Walls built by the German Emperor Frederic “Barbarossa” in the 12th century. Pass the level and turn to the left into Viale Lecco, keep on your left and at the end turn left again, you’ll see the apse of The Cathedral, enter the first on your right ,Via Rodari, pass Piazza Roma and ride along Via Bianchi Giovini, you are now in Piazza Cavour the main square. You can leave your bikes and have a rest or a walk in the historical centre. After the visit, ride along the lake shore and go back to the stadium. From the War Memorial go ahead always keeping the lake on your right. There is a nice promenade where you can enjoy the view of Neoclassic villas on the left and the lake on the right. When you are at Villa Olmo, you can cross the public gardens, but not riding your bikes. Outside the park a cycle track will lead you to Cernobbio, a nice town at about 5 km. from Como.
