It is possible to follow the river Adda, that comes out from the lake at Lecco, stopping in the various little villages that face both its shores, where there are pedestrian and cyclo walkways suitable for every kind of users.
Walking along the left shore and remaining in the territory of Lecco, we suggest to stop in the quarter of Maggianico from Villa Gomes towards the church of Saint Andrea to admire a painting by Bernardino Luini, and in the quarter of Chiuso to visit the church dedicated to Saint John the Baptist decorated with notable frescoes from the XV century.
The tour along the right shore, with a nice view over the surrounding mountains, instead leads to the Lake of Garlate, an interesting little town if you want to visit its courtyards and the Museum ABEGG, where objects explaining the fascinating history of the silk worm are displayed.
